I am really upset about the current controversies over Mumbai...Especially this statement made by one safron thug
"Rahul Gandhi has insulted the bravery of martyrs like Hemant Karkare, Ashok Kamte, Vijay Salaskar, Tukaram Omble, all daring Marathi policemen, and NSG Major Sandeep Unnikrishan...Where was Rahul Gandhi when Mumbai was attacked," XXX asked, adding that he condemned the anti-Marathi statement of the Congress leader.""
I am sickened by this, why ? Even for vanquishing terrorism , we can't stand together ?? We are counting the martyrs of our fight againist terrorism, on regional basis. Is this a basketball kind of game?? what is flying here ...nationalism or regionalism??
Leave apart all this shitty things......We, Indian's we are haunted by racial abuse in Australia. What we are doing...?? We are still playing with Australians...Is this a diplomatic way of ensuring the security of indians in Australia....?? We failed there.......Atleast we can respect the rights of citizen inside the Great Republic of India....
What is Mumbai, or Is it Bombay...??? Bombay, it was a conglomerate of Seven islands with fishermen settlement. Ignoring centuries of indigenous dynasties, Bombay came in to the hands of Portugese by the " Treaty of Bassein" They coined the name "Bombay", its a mondegreen of BomBahia which means good bay. The funnything is that British got this goodbay as a dowry when their Prince tied knot with Portuguese beauty. There starts the story of Global City, the financial capital of India. So if anybody who can claim the "Grandfather" post of Bombay, its the British.

After Independance, the state Maharashtra was formed along linguistic lines between Gujarat and Bombay state. I beg to differ with this kind of linguistic state formation. INC pledged to follow this prior to Independence and we can find this as the core reason of regionalism .
See I would like to invite your attention to one comment made by one Maharashtrian " Teach the lessons of nationalism to South Indians and they will kick your butt. They do not speak hindi at all. but we do. We, the people of Maharshtra must get the job and daily income. Then you can grab the rest. We are not saying no to it. But to get the job in Maharashtra is a first right of Marathi"
My friend Nobody can steal your opportunities if you are competent enough. Don't try to get it through rapacious acts. Right after the Independence the Gujarati and Rajastani Marwaris communities owned majority of the industry and trade enterprises in the city and the white-collar jobs were mainly sought by the South Indian migrants to the city as they gained upper hand by pursuing higher education They got this due to their hard work and we can't stay blind to their contributions to what we called "Mumbai" now.
Lets enquire what's making Bombay the tax duck of India..? Yes more than 50% of India's tax comes through Mumbai's account We can see most of the Public Sector Undertakings and private sectors have their Corporate office in Mumbai. So obviously if they plan to move out of Mumbai, this tax source follows. So Bombay's GDP contribution comes from the products that are manufactured from nooks and corners of India.

As we all know, this blame game started a while ago, when Sachin said "I am a Maharashtrian and I am extremely proud of that. But I am an Indian first. And Mumbai belongs to all Indians."I still can't figure out what on the earth rankled that safron panjandrum 'X'.
X criticised the statement saying, "There was no need to take a cheeky single by making these remarks. By making these remarks, you have got run-out from the "pitch" of Marathi psyche.""You were not even born when the 'Marathi Manoos' got Mumbai and 105 Marathi people sacrificed their lives to get Mumbai," X mouthpiece 'X' quoted X as saying.
Does Sachin deserve this kind of reply..??? Who is this X? Did he do anything sacred or divine for which he will be remembered after he joins the majority.
Its too late for the govt to interefere. As said If we give a cat cookies, it will ask for milk later....

Well said, my friend.
There should be a change, not only in the case of mumbai, but for every single region in India, where people think (or been misled by the power-maniac politicians to do so), that they or their culture is being superior to others. Why can't we believe that we are Indians, irrespective of thinking that I am a marathi, bengali, punjabi, kashmiri, tamilian, kannadiga, malayali, or any other narrow-mind-division?
I could never understand how the problems of people who speaks a particular language being different from other Indians. Is it the greatest problem they are facing? What about corruption? Poverty? Threat from terrorists? Being lived in 5 different states of India, I could confidently swear that at any of these states, the police do self-welfare than enforcing law. And the most corrupt? Invariably maharashtra Police!
Good thoughts.. :)
