NEW IS BEING ALTERED BY TV & NEWSPAPERS TO CATCH VIEWER SHIP

Media professionals say, "Good new is bad news because it doesnot sell a paper".At the early times goverment was having strict control over media since goverment maintained monopoly there through PrasarBharathi & Doordarshan whose objective was merely national intrest. Once it was opened for private sector the objective found replacement. It was profit the new one for which they are willing to adopt any hook or crook means. They are adding spices and blending the news to report it in a unique manner and to arise viewers eagerness inorder to make them stick to their channel. There they are losing their principles and forgetting their social resposiblities.

A recent event made me think about this topic.Hope you all know Aarushi murder case. There we can see how worse police dept can be in its fullfetched form.A father before recovering from the shock he felt from his daughters death was accused and arrested for it without having enough evidences. Now it came media's turn especially visual media.....kudos they made a mess out of it.It was like a festival for them..you know one of the national news channels even demonstrated it with the help of animation keep in mind still he is only an accused not a culprit. He was kept in jail for 50 long days......for he and his family it was 50 years.....Atlast the truth came out ...He was innocent.....Whom should we blame...........who is answerabe??Will the media apologize??????

Last but not the least we cant keep our eyes closed by seeing the intrusion of politics in to this field. Why should the political parties own newspapers & TV channels.......To propagate their ideologies they can do it with posters and catalogs.....Can you pointout a single medium of that kind which is propagating the exact truth...No we cant...Each one of its kind is trying to spread their version of the truth.....I can definitely say that this wont do any favour to this field...

Finally we cant run away from our responsiblity of entertaining the good one and discarding the worse.Particularly we have a prejudice...thats why we want to hear a news in a form which suits it and it will vindicate the circulation figures of biased ones....So i humbly suggest to get out of such moral frames....Accept the truth in its own form........
To conclude, news should be presented attractively but in its original form.....The more assertive readers and viewers are, the lesser the media can manipulate......
